Police, sheriff's department reports

Following are some of the offenses and investigations reported by Weatherford police for the period 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday:

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Police were called to a residence in the 700 block of Santa Fe where a man said a person known to him destroyed his combo television/DVR set and poured bleach on the carpet, causing up to $1,500 damage total.

FORGERY

A woman in the 1100 block of Jameson Street said she gave someone a check, but when the check was cashed it was altered. A report for a forged check in the amount of $122 was made.

POT POSSESSION

An intoxicated person report at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of Tin Top Road resulted in the arrest of Kevin Patrick O’Neal, 27, on charges of public intoxication, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and two Class C warrants issued by Parker County, according to police.

SHERIFF’S REPORTS

Following are reports made by the Parker County Sheriff’s Department:

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

At 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to Granada Drive in reference to a criminal mischief investigation. Upon arrival deputies met with the complainant who stated an unknown person caused damage to his 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe.

ASSAULT

Deputies were dispatched Thursday to the 100 block of Brynns Court in reference to an assault. There a 42-year-old woman said she had been involved in a physical altercation with a known individual. A report was taken for assault, officials said.

McDaniel is a 1986 graduate of Weatherford High School. The auction was sponsored by the Community Service Committee, chaired by Barbara Rothrock.

  • Grand jury indictments for April returned

    A Parker County grand jury on Thursday indicted a man accused of breaking into his neighbor’s home and threatening him with a BB gun before engaging in a brief standoff with deputies.

    Two Weatherford teens were arrested last week on charges of chasing down two bicycle-riding children in a car and assaulting them in a church parking lot, where the encounter was recorded.
