Following are some of the offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by the Weatherford Police Department for the period 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday:

SLEEPY DRIVER

A report of a suspicious vehicle at 8:38 a.m. Thursday led officers to the 100 block of Ikard Lane, where they reportedly found a 19-year-old man asleep behind the wheel of a Chevy pickup.

The teen was awakened, and police found what they suspected to be a controlled substance, which was seized and sent for lab analysis.

ASSAULT ARRESTS

Report of an assault at a residence in the 300 block of West Third Street around 6:30 p.m. Thursday led to the arrests of Lisa Gaye Woods, 45, and Cameron Cole Merryman, 21. They were charged with assaulting a 43-year-old man.

DWI ARREST

Police responded to a call of a possibly intoxicated driver at 9:12 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of North Main Street and East Eighth Street.

Police said there they found a Ford pickup had struck a mailbox and a man lying on the sidewalk next to the truck, who allegedly admitted to drinking beer prior to driving the truck. Police said an open container of beer was found in the vehicle.
