First Baptist to host 36th annual fall festival

Weatherford Democrat

The Music Ministry of Weatherford’s First Baptist Church has announced its plans for the 36th annual fall festival. The main festival, held in the church’s Family Life Center, will be host to games, food and fun. In the church’s fellowship hall, just adjacent to the Family Life Center, a room of games for children age 6 and under will be included.

The activities to be included are games with prizes given and various activities free for the entire family. A concession stand will provide food and drink items at reasonable prices. This year some nice door prizes courtesy of some Weatherford businesses will be given.

This year’s festival, “At the Circus,” is Thursday, Oct. 31, beginning at 5 p.m. ends at 8 p.m. This annual festival sponsored each year by the Sanctuary Choir always draws city wide attention, interest and participation. This event is provided each year solely for the benefit of the community and funds that are received defray the cost of the event itself.

More information may be obtained by calling First Baptist Church at 594-5457. Howell Simmons is the minister of music. David George is the pastor.
