‘Home for the Holidays’ event slated for Nov. 14

The Parker County Extension Education Association invites everyone to the 2013 “Home for the Holidays” on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event will take place at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church, located in Weatherford at 802 N. Elm St.

“Home for the Holidays” is a delightful event filled with holiday tips and ideas to help get you into that holiday spirit. There will be special presentations and demonstrations by local speakers: Antoinette Reed-Holiday Appetizers; Shirley Riebe-Wreaths; Julia Moseley and Barbara Sampson-Decorating Ideas; Kayla Neill-Gifts in a Jar; and Kathy Smith-Keeping it Safe.

There will be a fashion show with holiday bling. Couts Christian Academy Students will be performing.

“Home for the Holidays” will include a festive lunch variety of soups, sandwiches and desserts. There will be recipe books, a raffle table, gift table and silent auction, door prizes and much more.

The cost to attend is $15 per person. This will include lunch, program materials and recipes.

Tickets are available from Extension Education Association Members and the Parker County Extension Office. You may all call to reserve you space. Onsite registration will also be available. Educational programs conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension serve people of ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability or nationality.
