MINERAL WELLS – Break out your clubs, grab your spikes and start practicing your soft clapping because AmVets’ first  Veterans Day Golf Tournament is right around the corner.

All golfers are welcome to this 25-team golf scramble with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, at Holiday Hills Country Club. The entry fee is $65 per person – with four members on each team – and includes dinner. The deadline to enter is 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8.

The tournament will be split into two flights, with prizes given to the top three golfers in each. There will also be plenty of range balls available and two “Par 3 Hole-in-One car/truck giveaways.”

If golfing’s not your bag, not to worry. There are plenty of other prizes, including a raffle and goody bags.

AmVets recognizes Earon Gatlin for “getting this tournament on its feet and acknowledging veterans.”
