A candidate forum for all statewide candidates taking part in the May 27 runoff election is scheduled Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Parker County Courthouse.
Parker County Republican Party Chair Zan Prince said those that have confirmed as of Friday morning include Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, who is going up against State Senator Dan Patrick. Prince said State Board of Education District 11 candidates Pat Hardy, the incumbent and challenger Eric Mahroum have also confirmed.
In the local contest runoff for Parker County Justice of the Peace 3, County District Attorney’s investigator Dusty Vinson, who received nearly 41 percent of the vote, and Parker County Sheriff’s Deputy Anne Hollis, who received more than 32 percent of the vote, will compete in the May 27 primary runoffs for the chance to take on judicial responsibilities for the south and west portions of the county. Both have confirmed attendance at the forum.
