Man arrested for soliciting girl

PARKER COUNTY — A 29-year-old Waller County man was recently arrested on accusations that he contacted a 15-year-old Parker County girl through Facebook and discussed meeting with her to have sex.

Daniel Lee Boone was booked into the Parker County Jail Tuesday on a warrant for online solicitation of a minor, a second degree felony. He was being held with bond set at $35,000 as of Thursday night.

During several sexually explicit online conversations with the girl in December, Boone reportedly asked for and received photos of her, discussed meeting her and expressed a fear of going to jail for his actions, according to the arrest warrant affidavit filed in Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace court.

The girl’s mother reportedly contacted authorities on Jan. 17 to report that Boone was communicating with her daughter in a sexually explicit manner.

She told the respoding Parker County sheriff’s deputy that she became suspicious a few days prior when a man called their house asking to speak with her 15-year-old daughter, the affidavit states. She then reportedly took the girl’s cell phone and logged into her daughter’s Facebook account and found sexually explicit messages and nude photos of the girl.

Though one of the girl’s Facebook profiles gave her correct date of birth, she later agreed that she was 16 years old when Boone asked, according to the affidavit.

Sgt. Ricky Montgomery reported he found messages between the two dating back to June 25.

After the girl told him she was a virgin during one conversation excerpted in the affidavit, Boone reportedly replied that he was thinking how much fun he could have and was tempted to ask to meet in person, though he said his car was almost out of gas and he wouldn’t get a “gas loan” until Friday.

“The suspect appears to be grooming the victim in this phase of the online relationship,” Montgomery stated in the affidavit.

They later talk again about meeting and having sexual intercourse, according to Montgomery.

After the girl reportedly sent Boone naked pictures of herself depicting her breasts and genitals, Boone reportedly stated, “‘I figured im throwin this much caution into the wind why not toss more out there lol.'”

“‘You know how much trouble we would be in if we got caught just talkin to each other like that?’” Boone reportedly wrote to the girl, later adding, “how do you think I feel ... I could be put in prison for a long time.’”

Later in the conversation, according to the affidavit, Boone added, “and I was a prison guard for a year. I don’t want to be on the other side of those bars.”
