The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a man killed in a shooting in February an accident.

Stephen Hamm, 31, died of a gunshot wound of the head, according to the medical examiner’s office.

A neighbor reportedly contacted the sheriff’s office around 8:30 p.m. Feb. 7 about a person who had been shot at Hamm’s residence in the 300 block of Pueblo Drive near Weatherford.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office, which said Tuesday that the investigation is ongoing, did not release additional information on the incident, including whether Hamm is believed to have been shot by himself or someone else.

“Until there is something concrete, I cannot release the details of an investigation,” Deputy Danie Huffman said.
