WEATHERFORD — The Parker County Sheriff’s Office was still searching Thursday evening for a man who allegedly fled deputies Wednesday evening and prompted a late night, several hour manhunt near Tin Top Road.

Billy Wade, 46 or 47 years old, is being sought on a felony warrant, spokesperson Dep. Danie Huffman said Thursday.

Further information, including a description of the suspect, the nature of the charge and when and where the pursuit began, was unavailable from the sheriff’s office Thursday.

Wayne Montgomery, who lives about a quarter mile down Montgomery Lane off of Tin Top Road, said he saw pickup trucks speeding in the normally quiet neighborhood.

Law enforcement, a helicopter and a second aircraft appeared to search the area at the end of his street, Montgomery said.

A city police officer told him the man at large may have a pistol, Montgomery said.

Myrtis Vititow, who lives in the 3800 block of Tin Top Road, said he saw two law enforcement vehicles, including a Weatherford police vehicle, parked across the road on his vacant lot late Wednesday night and didn’t know what they were doing.
