POLICE BLOTTER: Burglary, thefts and criminal mischief incidents reported

Here are some of the offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by Weatherford police since Saturday:

HOME BURGLARY

A reported residential burglary that took place between 12:31 p.m. and 9:31 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Grace Street resulted in the reported theft of $2,320 worth of electronics and video games.

DWI ARREST

A citizen’s call to police about a possibly intoxicated driver early Sunday morning led an officer to stop a small blue sports car in the 700 block of Fort Worth Highway just before 1 a.m.

The caller said the vehicle was seen driving eastbound in the westbound lanes in the 1600 block of Mineral Wells Highway.

The officer stated the car did not have valid insurance, and said the driver had “glassy and bloodshot eyes” and a smell of alcohol.

The officer conducted a field sobriety test of the driver, resulting in the arrest of Valentin Zaravia-Zarraga, 24, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

IDENTITY THEFT

A 53-year-old man told police he learned his Social Security number was fraudulently obtained and used after he was contacted by a debt collector concerning a $1,000 payday loan made in February over the Internet. The man said he did not make the loan.

BOAT THEFT

Police were called Monday afternoon to the 2100 block of East Lake Drive where a woman said between 8 p.m. on June 27 and 10 a.m. on June 29 someone stole a tan and teal paddle boat from underneath her dock. The boat was valued at $500.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEFS

Several criminal mischief incidents were reported about 8:25 p.m. Monday evening.

A resident in the 1200 block of North Rusk Street said a front window to the residence was damaged.

Also in the 1200 block of North Rusk Street as well as in the 400 block of East Third Street and 1500 block of North Elm Street, people reported vehicle windows broken or other damage to vehicles.
