Candidate for lieutenant governor Patrick expected at local tea party meeting

Current state senator and Republican candidate for Texas lieutenant governor Dan Patrick is scheduled to make an appearance at Thursday night's Parker County Tea Party meeting.

The meeting is set to take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a meet-and-greet followed the general meeting at 7 p.m. in the Education Building at Victory Baptist Church, 1311 E. Bankhead Highway, in Weatherford.

According to the local tea party group, Patrick has been endorsed by 24 tea parties and political action committees. He is currently serving his second term as a Republican member of the Texas Senate representing the 7th District, which includes a portion of the city of Houston and several Houston-area suburbs located mostly in northwest Harris County.
