Make Healthy Texas week the healthiest week of the year

Weatherford Democrat

— Weatherford Regional Medical Center is proud to announce its participation in Healthy Texas week, a statewide health initiative in which Austin-based nonprofit ACTIVE Life celebrates the health of all Texans.

During this week, Texans are encouraged to move more, eat better, and live well.

“Our hope is that Healthy Texas week will become the healthiest week of the year,” said John Waterman, manager of Marketing and Communications for ACTIVE Life. “With it, we want to unite motivated individuals, institutions and organizations in communities across Texas to advance the cause to make healthy the norm in the Lone Star State.”

Weatherford Regional is promoting Healthy Texas throughout the hospital with posters and banners. A blood drive has been scheduled for Saturday, April 20, to continue the Healthy Texas initiatives throughout the month.

ACTIVE Life anticipates that more than 500,000 people will participate in this weeklong initiative. Texans can pledge their support online at
