Women + Wealth + Wisdom set for March 25

MINERAL WELLS – Several area businesswomen are coming together to provide a program that’s unique to women. Presented by Corner Post Financial Planning, Women + Wealth + Women encourages women to take care of themselves and their finances.

The program, which will take place 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Titan Bank’s Mineral Wells location on East Hubbard Street, will commence with relaxation strategies led by yoga instructor Kala Elam of Lilalove Yoga. Don’t worry: The exercises can all be done from your chair.

Next, Titan Bank Executive Vice President Dacey Malone will brief women on strategies they can use to keep their information secure while they are shopping, especially in the wake of major national data breaches.

Mandy Woodring, owner of The Cellar, will lead a wine pairing with refreshments from Brenda’s Catering, and Melinda Alexander of House of Tuscany in Fort Worth will talk about the vintage Italian and French treasures she finds during her international journeys.

Last but certainly not least, Debbie Chandler of Investment Centers of America will present a short program on “Women & Money,” discussing financial situations unique to women and how women may take control of their fiscal futures.

Women + Wealth + Wisdom is organized by Corner Post Financial Planning and sponsored and hosted by Titan Bank.

The program is free, but due to space limitations reservations are required. All women are encouraged to attend.

Reserve your spot by calling (940) 325-9800.

In June, there were seven students who explored the flora and fauna of the rainforest through music at The Burch School of Music. Each child made his or her own rain stick, along with other crafts and art work. For two hours each day for five days, students explored a different level of the rainforest, starting with the emergent layer at the top, moving through the canopy, the understory, the forest floor and the rivers. They let bats fly (black balloons) and were eaten by a boa constrictor. On the last day they dressed as natives and drummed together.
