Azle to host ‘Taste Tour’ to raise money for Community Food Bank

AZLE – The Azle Community Caring Center will host its second “Taste Tour” event on Saturday, April 27.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will be held within five homes in Azle’s Thousand Oaks Estates neighborhood, about 20 miles northwest of Fort Worth. Guests will be greeted in the kitchen by different acclaimed chefs from area restaurants. The Taste Tour is scheduled to end around 2 p.m.

The event’s theme is “Tastes from Around the World” and will feature a variety of international flavors prepared by the chefs.

The Taste Tour proceeds will enable the Azle Community Caring Center to hire a part-time social worker in order to further serve the needs of the community. Currently, the Caring Center employs a part-time executive director and an assistant.

Tickets can be purchased for $30 on the day of the tour, and advanced tickets can be purchased for $25 at the Community Caring Center office, Brookshire’s, Azle Dental Care or Comet Cleaners, all located in Azle. Sponsorships are also available for purchase.

The Azle Community Caring Center is a non-profit organization that serves the economically disadvantaged in the Azle area. The center provides food, clothing and household items to the community. The center also sends backpacks filled with weekend food home with around 350 children each week.
