POLICE BLOTTER: Reckless driver arrested and an aromatic theft

Following are offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by the Weatherford Police Department for the period 6 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday:

Driver arrested

A reckless driver call led to the reported arrest of a man said to be driving with an invalid license and without insurance.

The report to police was made about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to reports, regarding a silver Ford pickup driving recklessly eastbound on Peaster Highway outside the Weatherford city limits.

The caller reported the vehicle failed to maintain a single lane, had drifted into oncoming traffic a couple of times and was swerving “real bad.”

A traffic stop was made in the 1200 block of North Main Street, police said. The driver, Victor Gene Magallan, 45, arrested for driving with license invalid with a previous conviction /suspension and driving without financial responsibility.

Aromatic theft

Police Monday evening were called to a store in the 100 block of East Interstate 20 concerning a woman who picked out 14 bottles of fragrances valued at $831.76 and left the store without paying.

11:10 a.m., theft, 200 block of Adams Drive.

12:02 p.m., domestic disturbance, 700 block of West Spring Street.

12:15 p.m., assault, 2000 block of South Main Street.

2 p.m., theft of service, a rented laptop, 300 block of South Main Street.

4:40 p.m., disturbance, 1400 block of Vine Street.

5:31 p.m., disturbance, 100 block of West I-20.

6:43 p.m., domestic disturbance, 1900 block of South Main Street.

7:47 p.m., missing person, 3700 block of Bethel Road.

9:14 p.m., domestic disturbance, 800 block of Hanover Street. Arrest made for driving with an invalid license.

9:38 p.m., disturbance, 900 block of South Waco Street.

9:43 p.m., theft, 800 block of Palo Pinto Street.

9:51 p.m., disturbance, 1000 block of South Waco Street.

Wednesday

1:34 a.m., suspicious vehicle, 200 block of Adams Drive. 201

3:07 a.m., suspicious person, 100 block of Alford Drive.
