POLICE BLOTTER: Sweet-toothed burglar

Sweet-toothed burglar

A reported burglary in the 900 block of Charles Street resulted in the reported theft of $50 worth of candy bars from the Weatherford Little League association.

The burglary reportedly happened between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Thursday.

Ring, cash theft

An elderly woman in the 200 block of Harmon Street told police a man who came to her house to reportedly work on her electricity went inside her home and stole a $300 diamond ring and $75 cash.

The incident reportedly took place between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The ring was described as a marquise blue sapphire ring with small diamonds around it.

Lawn tools theft

A man in the 100 block of Shady Lane reported the theft Thursday of two grass trimmers and a leaf blower he said were taken from a flat-bed trailer parked outside his home. All three items were Stihl models with a combined value of $1,023.
