POLICE BLOTTER: Three arrested in retail theft case

Following are calls involving crimes, investigations and calls for service by the Weatherford Police Department between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Thursday:

PROPERTY THEFT

A man in the 900 block of Terry Trail said between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7:25 a.m. Wednesday someone broke a lock on his 2004 Chevrolet pickup and stole the three-piece bed cover, at a loss of $3,500, including damage.

ORGANIZED THEFT

Three males, including two juveniles, were caught allegedly attempting to steal merchandise from a store in the 100 block of East Interstate 20. The value of the items was $296. The two juveniles were taken into custody on a theft charge and transported to a juvenile detention facility. Also arrested for theft was Tandyn S. Moran, 17, who was additionally charged with possession of marijuana.

ASSAULT ARREST

Police responding at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Live Oak Lane arrested Orlly K. Kitchens, 33, charging him with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

A woman in the 1100 block of West Water Street said between 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Wednesday someone stole her $140 purse and its contents from her vehicle.

8:15 a.m., identity theft, 1200 block of West Water Street.

9:22 a.m., minor wreck, 2000 block of Fort Worth Highway.

10:39, scam/fraud, 1100 block of Fort Worth Highway.

11:11 a.m.,theft, 200 block of Atwood Court.

1:13 p.m., scam/fraud, 800 block of Santa Fe Drive.

1:47 p.m., residential burglary, 400 block of East Akard Street.

3:30 p.m., minor wreck, 1400 block of South Main Street.

3:30 p.m., theft in progress, 1800 block of South Main Street.

3:32 p.m., suspicious person, 1200  block of Santa Fe Drive.

3:55 p.m., warrant service, 200 block of Willow Creek Drive.

4:18 p.m., scam/fraud, 300 block of West Fourth Street.

4:51 p.m., animal call, 500 block of South Rusk Street.

5:05 p.m., minor wreck, South Main Street.

5:22 p.m., animal call, 1400 block of Holland Lake Drive.

5:33 p.m., disturbance, 2000 block of Santa Fe Drive.

6:10 p.m., theft in progress, 1800 block of South Main Street.

7:44 p.m., reckless driver, North Main Street.

7:57 p.m., reckless driver, East Lake Drive.

8:31 p.m., reckless driver, 200 block of Whispering Dell Lane.

10:41 p.m., disturbance, 1500 block of Santa Fe Drive.

10:44 p.m., animal call, Texas Drive.

11:09 p.m., suspicious person, 400 block of Live Oak Lane.
