Crosstimbers Academy NHSociety induction

The Crosstimbers Academy chapter of the National Honor Society held its fourth annual induction of new members on Oct. 29.

 A total of eight students from the sophomore, junior, and senior classes were selected for membership. Per the national standards, the students had to have a minimum 3.0 cumulative average. The students were then eligible for consideration on the basis of service, leadership, and character based on the recommendations of the faculty council of Crosstimbers Academy.

 In addition, the students must also complete 15 service hours in an academic year.

 The induction took place at the Harmony Baptist Church sanctuary. A reception was held following the ceremony in the fellowship hall for all inducted members and their families.

 The members of the Crosstimbers National Honor Society 2013-14 are: Letia Boswell, president; Jennifer Couch, vice president; Justyn Butler, secretary; and Laura Savage, Colton Cherryhomes, Anthony Garza, Darbi Hammonds, Jake Hull, Devin LaBrie, Shayla Leatherman, Philip Low and Breann Price.

Crosstimbers Academy is a charter school, fully accredited as a Texas public school. CTA was established in 2006 offering recommended and minimum diploma plans tuition-free.
