Hitting the trail for MS

Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride’s annual event May 3

Weatherford Democrat

— STEPHENVILLE – The Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride is a fun-filled event dedicated to raising funds that support national research into the cause and cure for Multiple Sclerosis as well as provide programs to more than 9,000 people in the Lone Star Chapter area whose lives are touched by MS.

The purpose of this event is to move the National Multiple Sclerosis Society closer to its mission of ending the devastating affects of MS.

The trail ride is May 3 at the Hunewell Ranch outside of Stephenville. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the ride will begin at 9 a.m.

A $50 donation will get you an official Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride T-shirt. However, our goal is for every participant to raise $125 dollars for this cause.

All horses must be Coggins tested to participate in the trail ride. Bring proof of negative Coggins testing to the event.

For those who do not ride, there is also a 5K trail run/walk. A $25 dollar donation will get you an official T-shirt. For run information contact Dan Delgado at 254-592-3807 or delgadoze@hotmail.com.

There will be a free breakfast, morning break and barbecue lunch provided to all participants followed by a silent auction. Prizes will be awarded to both teams and individuals.

All funds received from the trail ride are donated to the National MS Society.
