Group seeks help decorating downtown square

Weatherford Democrat

— A committee is organizing to help decorate Weatherford’s downtown square for Christmas and to reintroduce a nighttime event, taking advantage of the after-hours lighting potential in the downtown square area.

Help is sought from individuals and groups including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church groups, etc.

The first planning meeting is this Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m., at 105 College Avenue (formally the Brioche Bistro) next to Quickprint of Weatherford on the southeast quadrant of the square. Please help our community, businesses and our downtown celebrate this important holiday.

For more information, contact Vonda Norris at 817-594-8121 or email heratvoodoovonda@gmail.com.

The group is also supporting the Parker County Courthouse Christmas Committee, which is in the first stages of organizing Christmas decorations and seeks cash donations.

For information or to help out, contact Donna Tillman at 817-629-6908. Donations will also be accepted at their booth in the Weatherford Blooms event April 27 on the square.
