POLICE BLOTTER: criminal mischiefs reported

Following are offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by Weatherford Police Department for the period 6 a.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday:

CRIMINAL MISCHIEFS

A resident in the 300 block of Alpine Drive said sometime over the weekend someone damaged two wind turbines, valued at $102 each, and two exterior flood lights, valued at $25 for the pair.

A business in the 1800 block of South Main Street reported that sometime between Saturday morning and early Sunday afternoon someone caused about $2,000 in damage to a gas pump.

Damage to a Weatherford ISD building was discovered at 8:16 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of South Main Street from graffiti spray-painted on its side and on a roll-up garage door. Damage was placed at $500.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

Police were called to a business in the 1800 block of South Main Street around 2 a.m. Monday where a man said an unknown male subject took a lawn mower of out his Ford pickup truck that was in the parking lot of the business. The lawn mower was valued at $200.

12:40 p.m., missing person, 600 block of West Oak Street.

12:58 p.m., criminal mischief, $1,500-$20,000, 1800 block of South Main Street.

1:03 p.m., hit-and-run wreck, 1700 block of Martin Drive.

1:18 p.m., hit-and-run wreck, 1300 block of South Main Street.

2:14 p.m., warrant service, 2400 block of FM Road 51 North.

2:16 p.m., suspicious vehicle, 2100 block of Bethel Road.

2:21 p.m., vehicle burglary, 1800 block of South Main Street.

2:51 p.m., animal call, 500 block of  Bryan Street.

3:14 p.m., minor wreck, 200 block of Azle Highway.

3:26 p.m., reckless driver, 1000 block of Peaster Highway.

3:40 p.m., reckless driver, 1500 block of East Interstate 20.

5:48 p.m., animal call, 1800 block of South Main Street.

6:58 p.m., reckless driver, 1000 block of King Street.

7:17 p.m., hit-and-run wreck, 1800 block of South Main Street.

7:38 p.m., suspicious person, Cliff View Court.

8:20 p.m., criminal mischief, 1000 block of South Main Street.

10:34 p.m., disturbance, 300 block of South Alamo Street.

10:51 p.m., suspicious person, 2100 block of East Interstate 20.

11:18 p.m., domestic disturbance, 1600 block of Holland Lake Drive.

  • AgriLife to offer parenting classes Aug. 19, 21

    The Texas AgriLife Extension Service of Parker County will offer parenting classes on Aug. 19 and 21, 2014, at the Parker County Agricultural Services Center. The classes will be from 1-5 p.m. each day and will include lunch. The cost to attend the class is $10 per person for the two-day class. Scholarships are available.

  • CASA receives national certification for its efforts

    WEATHERFORD – CASA Hope for Children of Parker and Palo Pinto County has just been awarded certification by the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association. This certification recognizes that CASA Hope for Children is in compliance with National CASA’s high standards for quality child advocacy.
