Tallman speaks at WCS chapel

Weatherford Democrat

World renowned Rodeo Announcer Bob Tallman, better known as the “Voice of Professional Rodeo,” stopped by Weatherford Christian School’s elementary campus april 10 to speak to over 150 students in grades Pre-K through 6th at their bi-weekly chapel.

Tallman is a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame, an eight time recipient of the distinguished PRCA Announcer of the Year award, and has been inducted into the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, Calgary Stampede Hall of Fame, and the St. Paul Rodeo Hall of Fame.

Tallman took time out of his schedule to visit with the WCS students about what school was like when he was growing up and the impact it and the teachers who taught him, have had on his life still today. He went on to tell about how he came to love the profession of rodeo and learned that he had a knack for announcing it. Tallman shared with the children that he attributes both his success in rodeo and business to his faith in Christ. He encouraged each of them to give of their time and efforts to continue to help others and to always turn to prayer for their every need and request.

The legendary voice of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and the National Finals Rodeo was asked to speak by Mrs. Vick’s kindergarten class, of which Mr. Tallman’s twin grandchildren both attend.
