Precincts 1, 2 and 3 will take brush

WEATHERFORD — Residents don’t need to wait for county clean-up day to bring brush to precinct barns in precincts 1, 2 and 3, Parker County commissioners said Monday, both during and after a discussion about extending the county burn ban again.

The ban —  now extended until Aug. 9 — has prevented residents from burning their brush.

The Precinct 4 barn, however, is undergoing a rebuild and is referring residents to a landfill, an employee answering the phone said.

There is no limit to the amount and no charge for the disposal of unwanted brush, commissioners said, but the service is for residents only, not commercial businesses.

For more information, call Precinct 1 at 817-220-7218, Precinct 2 at 817-594-4022 or Precinct 3 at 817-594-0371.
