Parker County grand jury indictments

PARKER COUNTY — Indictments returned by the Parker County Grand Jury at their Oct. 11 session included:

Noah Thomas Archer, Sept. 11; injury to a child.         

Shane Evan Austin, Sept. 15; assault family violance enhanced.

Justin Wesley Ball, Jan. 1, 2010; two counts of indecency with a child.

Russell Delacy Bever, July 15, 2011; burglary of habitation.

Kyle Chester Cage, March 21; possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Jesse Wayne Carrington, Jan. 3; theft greater than or equal to $1,500 less than $20,000.

Carolyn Louise Flippin, Aug. 22; theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous theft convictions.

Scott Allen Golden, Aug. 24; bail jumping.

David Brian Hamilton, March 6; possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Austin Vaughan Hamrick, May 20; sexual assault of a child.

Stefanie Kalyn Hunt, March 9; possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Brandon Wayne Kincaid, April 10; possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Billy Don Law Jr., April 28; assault family violence choking, assault family violence enhanced.

Michael Alan Lewis, Nov. 13, 2011; possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Joseph Frank Malone, May 16, 2011; possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Timothy Chase Mcwilliams, Sept. 17; bail jumping.

Kelley Gene Phillips, May 8; possession of a prohibited substance in a correcitonal facility.

Donna Denise Scalf, Jan. 19; possession of a prohibited substance in a correcitonal facility, possession of a controlled substance Pg 1 less than 1 gram.

Michael Bradley Scott, April 13; possession of marijuana less than or equal to 5 pounds greater than 4 ounces.

Joseph Duncan Smart, July 24; unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Krystal Leann Williams, April 14; manufacture/deliver controlled substance Pg 1 greater than or equal to 4 grams less than 200 grams.

Kevin Scott Wooldridge, Sept. 21; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

  • AgriLife to offer landscape class

    The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service of Parker County, in cooperation with the Parker County Master Gardeners, will conduct a workshop entitled Creating and Maintaining a Healthy, Drought-Tolerant and Sustainable Landscape.

  • 0729 loc burch school.jpg Rainforest Camp at Burch School of Music

    In June, there were seven students who explored the flora and fauna of the rainforest through music at The Burch School of Music. Each child made his or her own rain stick, along with other crafts and art work. For two hours each day for five days, students explored a different level of the rainforest, starting with the emergent layer at the top, moving through the canopy, the understory, the forest floor and the rivers. They let bats fly (black balloons) and were eaten by a boa constrictor. On the last day they dressed as natives and drummed together.

  • Republican Women to meet Aug. 14 at Doss

    The Parker County Republican Women’s monthly meeting will be Aug. 14 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford. The meeting is open to the public.

    Parker County Heritage Society will meet Aug. 19 in the home of Nathan and Abby Hamessely at 410 W. Spring St. at 7 p.m.

  • AgriLife to offer parenting classes Aug. 19, 21

    The Texas AgriLife Extension Service of Parker County will offer parenting classes on Aug. 19 and 21, 2014, at the Parker County Agricultural Services Center. The classes will be from 1-5 p.m. each day and will include lunch. The cost to attend the class is $10 per person for the two-day class. Scholarships are available.

  • CASA receives national certification for its efforts

    WEATHERFORD – CASA Hope for Children of Parker and Palo Pinto County has just been awarded certification by the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association. This certification recognizes that CASA Hope for Children is in compliance with National CASA’s high standards for quality child advocacy.
