Willow Park councilman files for JP Pct. 4 seat

Bernard R. Suchocki, an attorney and Willow Park city council member, has filed to run against incumbent Lynn Marie Johnson for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 in East Parker County.

Both have filed as Republicans. The filing deadline is Monday.

Two other county positions are expected to be contested in the March 4 Primary Election, as well.

Parker County Treasurer incumbent Jenny Barnwell, appointed to the position in June, is facing Dedra Vick in the local Republican primary.

With Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Suzie Merkley stepping down after seven terms, three Republican candidates had filed paperwork to run for the seat as of Thursday, including Anne M. Hollis, Jerry L. Hataway and Dusty Vinson.

Other local incumbents had not drawn challengers as of Thursday.
