POLICE BLOTTER: A look at police calls for Monday-Tuesday

Following are some of the offenses, investigations and calls for service reported by Weatherford police for the period 6 a.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday:

Graffiti

A business owner in the 900 block of Palo Pinto Street on Monday morning reported red and blue spray paint was used to deface the side of the building, at a cost of about $500 to repair.

6:28 a.m., domestic disturbance, 100 block of Garner Road.

7:23 a.m., animal call, 1500 block of Franklin Street.

7:42 a.m. domestic disturbance, 200 block of Oakridge Drive.

8:15 a.m., suspicious vehicle, 100 block of East Park Avenue.

9:18 a.m., hit-and-run wreck, 200 block of Atwood Court.

2:35 p.m., minor wreck, 2100 block of Bethel Road.

3:48 p.m., suspicious person, 1500 block of Salado Trail.

5:21 p.m., reckless driver, 2100 block of East Interstate 20.

5:59 p.m., disturbance, 100 block of South Tower Street.

6:03 p.m., threats made, 1200 block of Santa Fe Drive.

6:38 p.m., minor wreck, 300 block of South Alamo Street.

7:14 p.m., minor wreck, 600 block of West Park Avenue.

7:17 p.m., suspicious vehicle, 1800 block of Clear Lake Road.

7:31 p.m., suspicious person,1500 block of Texas Drive.

7:53 p.m., animal bite, 1400 block of Randy Drive.

10:14 p.m., drugs, 900 block of South Main Street.

23:12 p.m., suspicious vehicle, 300 block of Love Street.

TUESDAY

3:14 a.m., suspicious person, Austin Court.

5:07 a.m., suspicious vehicle, 100 block of East I-20.

    Professional auctioneer Randall McDaniel conducted his fourth annual PCRTA auction of items donated by members on April 1. Several paddle wars transpired for popular items. Additionally, members participated in a silent auction, a first for the group. A total of $1,400 from the auction was contributed to the PCRTA’s operating fund. McDaniel is a 1986 graduate of Weatherford High School. The auction was sponsored by the Community Service Committee, chaired by Barbara Rothrock.

    A Parker County grand jury on Thursday indicted a man accused of breaking into his neighbor’s home and threatening him with a BB gun before engaging in a brief standoff with deputies.

    Two Weatherford teens were arrested last week on charges of chasing down two bicycle-riding children in a car and assaulting them in a church parking lot, where the encounter was recorded.
