Aggies unite for distinctive tradition
Former students of Texas A&M University will assemble in Willow Park on April 21 for the annual Parker County Texas Aggie Muster in honor of all Texas Aggies who have passed away within the last year, according to Muster Chair Graham Quisenberry, class of ‘77.
Sculpture workshop with Dale Martin
The workshop will be open to adult beginner and intermediate sculpture students and classes will be held every Wednesday Evening and Saturday Afternoon in June. Wednesday classes will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday classes will be from 3 to 6 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Poolville Junior High math team competes in San Antonio
The Poolville Junior High Math and Science Team had four students advance to the state level earlier this month. Students from all over Texas were present. A total of 2,700 students came to compete. About 5,000 tests were given at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Poolville competed in the 1A Division, against 17 other schools, and qualified to compete in two events: Number Sense and Calculator.
Trinity Christian presents Seussical the Musical
Trinity Christian Academy’s Creative Arts Department will present its seventh annual spring musical, “Seussical the Musical”, on May 8, 9 and 10 in the Barber Gym/Theatre. Students in grades 3rd-12th are in this musical that all ages will enjoy.
Weatherford Christian hosts annual Lions’ Gala
The recent Weatherford Christian Lions’ Gala, held at North Side Baptist Church on March 22 to benefit Weatherford Christian School, reached an all-time record high as their spring fundraiser for the local Pre-K 3 thru 12th school. The event, themed ‘Picturing the Future of WCS,’ raised over $133,800 to further growth and development.
