MILLSAP MATTERS: Elections, Log Cabin Days and history lessons make for a busy mid-May

Congratulations to Waldens Farm and Ranch Supply as it prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary on May 18.  This is a celebration for all customers, and everyone is invited to the store, 201 Fairview in Millsap, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Everyone there wants to show their appreciation and say thanks for your business. There will be a shop and win contest, door prizes, and guest speakers. They are going to have some great prizes that you must be present to win: grand prize, John Deere Zero Turn Lawn Mower; first prize, Bayou Classic Cypress Grill; and second prize, Mighty Mule Automatic Gate Opener. Plan to go celebrate with these folks and wish them many more great years!

Here’s something that the Millsap Chapter of Masons do every year and it’s sure to be outstanding. They are going to have their Annual Spring Fish Fry on May 18 at the Log Cabin Grounds. The cooking will start at 10 a.m. and they will sell until all of the food is gone. In conjunction with this, there will also be a delicious bake sale. These guys work hard to make the funds for scholarships for two Millsap seniors every year and are responsible for other charitable endeavors and volunteer jobs. We appreciate their willingness to support the community and all of their efforts. Please mark you calendars to go have a great meal with them.

Last reminder: Millsap Ex-Students Reunion on Saturday, April 27, at the Elementary School, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Bring food for lunch at noon.
