Weatherford Police Department detectives are investigating a rash of car burglaries that occurred over this past weekend — and anyone who may have information about the crimes could get up to $1,000 in reward money.
The suspects appeared to be targeting areas with valuable items left inside of the victim’s vehicles, according to Weatherford police. Some of the items taken were GPS systems, purses, jewelry, make-up, cigarettes, phone charges, tools, money and even a semi-automatic handgun.
Officers took multiple reports from the following areas:
100 block of Whiterock Court
900 block of Terry Trail
1600 block of Patti Place
1800 block of Rayna Drive
1800 block of Laura Street
800 block of Andi Way
Investigators believe the burglaries are all related.
The Weatherford Police Department is encouraging anyone who may have information on these crimes or who saw something suspicious to contact authorities. Call the Weatherford Police Department at 817-598-4300 or Parker County Crime Stoppers at 817-599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP. Up to a $1,000 reward will be paid for this information and callers may remain anonymous.
