Husband, wife indicted for manufacturing

A Parker County grand jury last week indicted a Parker County husband and wife accused of attempting to manufacture methamphetamine in their home.

Cristi Lynn Janecka and Douglas Lynn Janecka, 55, are charged with possession or transport of a chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance.

Logs submitted to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s database indicate that Cristi Janecka purchased 24 boxes of pseudoephedrine from Weatherford pharmacies over a nine-month period. The Walmart pharmacy reportedly declined to sell Janecka pseudoephedrine on Aug. 2 because she had purchased the maximum amount allowed by law over the previous 30 days.

Investigators say Douglas Janecka purchased 21 boxes during a nine-month period, as well.

During a search of the couple’s home in the 1000 block of Old Brock Road on Nov. 8, investigators located empty pseudoephedrine blister packages, lithium batteries, chemicals, solvents, bottles with tubing and contents consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Two small containers containing a small amount of substance that tested positive for methamphetamine were also found, according to investigators.

Cristi Janecka reportedly admitted the couple attempted to manufacture methamphetamine at their home.

Two indicted on burglaries

A Parker County grand jury Nov. 21 indicted two people suspected of several crimes, including using a red truck tractor in the burglary of a Parker County convenience store and a Wise County tobacco store.

Clark Edward Redmon, 49, was indicted on charges of burglary of a building, two charges of theft, more than $1,500, less than $20,000, and criminal mischief, more than $1,500, less than $20,000.

Maria Kristine Shone, 29, was indicted on a burglary of a building charge and two charges of theft, more than $1,500, less than $20,000.

Deputies believe the two used a chain connected to the truck to open the doors of A to Z convenience store, before stealing a large amount of cigarettes and lottery tickets.
