MILLSAP — An 81-year-old Millsap man died Saturday afternoon after he was struck by an ATV while standing in his driveway.
Clovis Counts was pronounced dead at a Fort Worth hospital at 1:40 p.m. and his death ruled an accident due to craniocerebral injuries after being struck by an ATV, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The sheriff’s office received a call shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday from the 4300 block of Fairview Road, according to Parker County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Danie Huffman, who said a family member reported she was driving a John Deere Gator and accidently put it into reverse instead of drive, striking Counts, who was standing behind her.
Counts reportedly struck his head on the pavement.
He was transported to the hospital in Fort Worth by LifeCare, where he later died.
