Trasoras brothers to lead dance workshop

METHUEN, Mass. — Mikey and Nathan Trasoras will be in Weatherford on Oct. 12 to conduct hip hop and contemporary dance workshops.

The workshops will take place 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Weatherford ISD Ninth Grade Center, 1007 S. Main St., in Weatherford. Early registration cost is $50 if made by Oct. 10. Registration cost the day of the workshop is $60 by cash only.

Sponsoring the workshops is Extreme Dance Camps of Weatherford.

Mikey Trasoras is a renowned hip hop choreographer known for his work with iHollywood Dance, Next Level and is a faculty member at the Orange County School of the Fine Arts. He travels the country teaching master classes and is liked for his charismatic style, fun choreography and teaching style.

Nathan Trasoras was a finalist on season six of “So You Think You Can Dance” and is one of the most sought-after dancers/performers/choreographers from the show. His specialty is contemporary dance.

“Extreme Dance Camps is so pleased to have him share his unique style and motivating personality,” Nika Carter said of Trasoras. “Rarely does a dancer have an opportunity to take from such LA greats in such an affordable, up close and personal setting.”

She said attendees will not only get to take classes, but will also be able to interact with the instructors on a one-to-one basis as well as take pictures, get autographs and ask questions.
