Spraying scheduled to take place tonight, Saturday night

— On Thursday, the City of Weatherford was notified that locally trapped mosquitoes tested positive for carrying West Nile Virus.

Because of that, the city has decided to ground-spray the affected area on Friday beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. and on Saturday beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., weather permitting. This action is being taken in an effort to help prevent the possible spread of the West Nile Virus.

The targeted location includes the area north to the intersection of Pamela Drive and Hickory Lane, west to the intersection of Hilltop Drive and Clear Lake Road and southeast to Santa Fe Drive, including the entire Briarwood Subdivision.
