Weatherford Democrat

— Weatherford Regional Medical Center announced Wednesday that David Orcutt has been named the new chief executive officer effective Feb. 4.

“After much thought and discussion with those involved in the search process, the decision has been made to name David as the permanent CEO,” said Dennis Clayton, chairman of the WRMC Board of Trustees. “He has the leadership experience for this important role and is the right choice for the WRMC team moving forward.”

Orcutt, who comes with more than 12 years of healthcare management experience, most recently served as chief executive officer of Lake Granbury Medical Center in Granbury.  He served on active duty as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy for eight years, and retired as a commander from the reserves in 2012. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University.

“I look forward to building on the hospital’s recent accomplishments,” said Orcutt. “This is an outstanding facility with an exceptional medical staff and employee team. I will enjoy working alongside the employees, medical staff and board of trustees to advance patient care and continue our great success.”
