Men charged with robbery

Girl reportedly called one suspect to victim’s house

By CHRISTIN COYNE

Three men were arrested Tuesday on charges they robbed a Parker County man at gunpoint in his home.

Kriztopher David Ledbetter, 22, Tyler Craig Williams, 19, and Jason Ray Salmon, 18, have been charged with aggravated robbery in a June 15 incident in the 400 block of Calhoun Bend Road near Azle, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said the resident reported he had a party and several people became intoxicated, including a juvenile girl who passed out on the man’s bed.

The juvenile later awoke and contacted Ledbetter by telephone, made an accusation against the resident and asked Ledbetter to pick her up, according to the investigator.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office declined to specify the nature of the allegation and said the offense claim was being investigated.

Ledbetter arrived at the residence along with Williams and Salmon, and the suspects awakened the resident and another man and pushed them into the living room, ordering them to sit and be quiet, according to sheriff’s investigator Ricky Montgomery.

The suspects, who the resident knew from prior parties, reportedly took cash and three rifles, according to the resident and Ledbetter, Montgomery wrote.

The resident reported Ledbetter was waving around the resident’s 9-mm handgun, taken from his vehicle, as they took his wallet and cell phone and attempted to remove a 65-inch television from the wall.

The men were unable to remove the TV and left it, the resident reportedly said.

Another party-goer reported that the 16-year-old girl sent her a message to relay to the reported robbery victim, telling the resident to give the juvenile the television or she would press charges, Montgomery reported.

Ledbetter admitted to splitting the money and guns with Williams and Salmon after the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

All three men remained in the Parker County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon with each bond set at $35,000.
