Two Baton Rouge, La., women were arrested in Parker County Tuesday on charges they were trafficking oxycodone and hydrocodone.
Parker County sheriff’s deputies stopped a 2004 Ford Expedition with a temporary Louisiana license plate for failure to signal a lane change in the 5800 block of East Interstate 20 in Willow Park, according to a sheriff’s deputy.
Law enforcement found two prescription bottles for one person in the vehicle containing 120 oxycodone pills and 58 hydrocodone pills.
Investigators also found multiple texts on the women’s cell phones indicating the women were involved in trafficking oxycodone, hydrocodone and Xanax, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Kindoll Marie Lamotte, 40, and Kalina Marie Mercier, 36, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, more than 4 grams, less than 200 grams, and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, more than 28 grams, less than 200 grams.
Both women were released from the Parker County Jail on bond Wednesday.
