Shop for an ‘Angel’ this year

While out playing Santa this weekend for family and friends, you might consider playing Santa for one of the community’s less fortunate children.

Santa’s Helpers Angel Trees are in locations throughout Weatherford, a project of Manna Storehouse and the Salvation Army.

It is simple. Select an angel (more if you like) from the tree, leave your information and the number of angel picked, and shop accordingly. The cards include some gift ideas offered by the recipient. Then be sure you drop the gifts along with card to Manna Storehouse, 129 E. Spring St., by Dec. 10 so they can be wrapped and sorted and prepared for time delivery.

Angel Trees are located at:

Weatherford Police Department; First Financial Bank (all locations); BBV Compass Bank in downtown Weatherford and Hudson Oaks; First National Bank; Plains Capital Bank; Legacy Bank; Texas Bank; Mader Bagley Insurance; Jacy Guynes Insurance; Fit For Life Gym; Lake Weatherford Marina; Teskeys; Reflections Salon; Jennz Salon; Parker County Physical Therapy; Wally’s Party Factory; Center of Hope; and Manna Storehouse.

Manna Storehouse is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 817-599-6569 and you can email
