  • July 4 Bettis fire Woman gets jail time for burning ex's home

    A Parker County woman last week pleaded guilty to burning down her ex-boyfriend’s home, receiving a 10-year prison sentence. 

    Amanda Nicole Clary, 27, pleaded guilty to arson of a habitation, a second-degree felony, for the July 4, 2013, fire that destroyed a three-bedroom brick house in the 2400 block of Bettis Drive south of Azle.

    After his employer found child pornography on his work computer and notified authorities, a Parker County jury Wednesday sentenced a Weatherford man to the maximum 10 years in prison.
