Carol West

— Carol West, 66, passed away Oct. 2, 2012, in Decatur.

Carol drove a bus for the Springtown ISD for 10 years and also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Roanoke for 24 years. She was a breast cancer survivor in 1988 and 2003.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Gladys Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Robert West of Springtown; daughter, Dana Ackley and husband, Stacy, of Colmesneil, Texas; son, Randall West of Denton; grandchildren, Colton, Conner, Tarynn and Rylee Ackley-Colmesneil; sister, Joy Hussey and husband, Bob of Springtown; brother, Don Moore and wife, D’Ann of Springtown; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephens and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Springtown Church of Christ. Interment will follow the service at Springtown Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Springtown Church of Christ.

Memorial donations may be sent to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Associates.
