— Charles D. Chilton, 78, of Weatherford, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013.

Service is 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Charles was born June 11, 1935, in Bridgeport, to Birdie Mae and Charles William Chilton.

Mr. Chilton was a longtime resident of Parker County. He resided in the Horseshoe Bend community for 25 years before moving to Weatherford. He was a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church until he moved to Weatherford and joined Grace Baptist Church.

Charles was an automobile salesman. He enjoyed team roping and competed in Texas and Oklahoma events for many years. Charles also liked to fish and spend time outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; daughters, Angie Webb and husband, Bill, and Tammy Noonan and husband, Philip; four grandchildren, Leah, Lauren, Laura and Pam; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden and Kyle; niece, Paula Simmons and husband, Tom; and a nephew, Charlie Brown.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Pauline Brown and Christine Knowles.
