Era Mae Woodard

Era Mae Woodard, 88, of Weatherford, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Austin surrounded by her loving family.

Service is 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Galbreaith-Pickard. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Era was born June 23, 1925, in Howell, Texas. She was a homemaker, Greenwood Community volunteer and a member of South Main Church of Christ for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Rex Woodard, of Weatherford; daughters, Linda Leech and husband, Gary, of Tennessee, Carol Adams, of Weatherford, and Marcelle Weinstein, of Austin; sister, Marjorie Hawkins and husband, Jack, of Weatherford; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Woodard is preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Jessie Foster; sister, Ida Courtney; and brother J.T. Foster Jr.

The family would like thank Hospice Plus and Hospice of Austin staff for their loving care.
