Thurman Rowell

ALEDO – Thurman Rowell, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Annetta Cemetery with Mike Edwards officiating. He is now home with the Lord.

Thurman was born Aug. 26, 1928, to Hassel and Bell Rowell in Wind Parish, La. He was a longtime resident of Aledo. Thurman was a Master Mason in the Phoenix Lodge No. 275 in Weatherford and served in the Army.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Twila Rowell, of Aledo; daughter, Deborah Jurek and husband, Jay, of Weatherford; son, Francis Rowell, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Cody Rowell and wife, Misty, Derek Rowell, Courtney Smith and husband, Chandler, Jesse Jurek and wife, Lauren, and Jason Jurek and wife, Tara; and great-grandchildren, Cheridan Rowell, Jocelyn Ruth Jurek, Hayden Rowell and Hudson Rowell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hassel and Bell Rowell; and 10 brothers.
