GARNER – Harold Wayne Moore, 79, died Oct. 26, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital.
Service is 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel in Mineral Wells. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born March 11, 1934, in Johnson Chapel, the son of Matt and Elsie Hamner Moore. He married Hazel Mae Walker, who preceded him in death Feb. 19, 2009. He was a longtime resident of Garner and a member of the First Baptist Church of Garner. He owned the Brazos Shopping Center Barber Shop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Elaine Murphy, of Springtown; step-daughters, Shannon Bell, of Ballew Springs, and Sheryl Wiklund, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Laura Deane, of Fort Worth, Brittany Fields, of Paradise, and Austin Murphy, of Fort Worth; three great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Moore, of Aspermont; sisters, Vera Clements, of Aspermont, Carol Young, of Snyder, and Sue Cooper, of Lake Palo Pinto; and 19 nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Margie Herbert.
