Linda Rae Harrison passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, in Weatherford, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Feb. 24, 1947, in South Sioux City, Nebraska to Oscar and Dana Strong, Linda was the baby of the family. Her father’s work brought Linda and family to Fort Stockton, Texas, and it was there she grew up.
Linda was an educator in the Brock ISD school system for over 20 years. After retiring, she continued to volunteer as a bus driver, sub teacherand chaperone for field trips for all for the kids. They called her “Miss Linda.” Linda was a proud member of Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother and friend.
Linda leaves behind her sons, Jeff Sullivan and wife, Erika Swyryn, Andy Harrison and wife, Richelle; daughter Donna Bowens; grandchildren, Angel Bowens, Toni Bowens, Danielle Harrison, Allie Harrison and Andrew Harrison; eight great grandchildren; mother, Dana Strong; and brothers, Wayne Strong and Melvin Strong.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church in Santo. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church 2731 S. FM 129 Santo, TX, 76472.
