Linda A. King Thornton, 54, of Weatherford, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in the Goshen Cemetery. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements. The family has asked that in honor of the fight against breast cancer you wear pink for the visitation and service.
Linda was born March 19, 1959, in Fort Worth. She was a landscaper for Skinners Nursery. Linda was known for her life-sized scarecrows and fancy birdhouses she made for the Farmers Market in Weatherford.
Survivors include daughter, Nicole King; son, Tanner Thornton; parents, James and Jean McKee Jr.; brothers, Russell Wayne McKee and Randy McKee; and nephews, Chris McKee, Josh McKee and Austin McKee.
Linda is preceded in death by Nicole’s father, Mark King.
