Ruby Grace Cole, 80, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Central Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
She was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Seymour to Perry and Sally Renner. Ruby was one of six children. Ruby grew up in Texas, but lived in many different areas of the country through her life. She met Wesley Cole in California in 1974, and they married a year later. Together they moved to Weatherford, where they spent the last 30 years. They were members of Central Baptist Church. Ruby was a nurse’s aide at Keeneland Nursing Home for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, working outside and cooking. She was a simple person, who was always willing to help others.
Ruby leaves behind her husband of more than 38 years, Wesley Cole; daughters, Connie Langdon and husband, Ken, of Oklahoma, Sandra Leatherman and husband, Michael, of California; sons, Durk Carlisle and wife, Francis, of California, and Gene Carlisle, of California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Marie, of California, Dorothy, of California, Sally, of Miss.; and brothers, Perry, of Weatherford, and Earl and wife, Carolyn, of Weatherford.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Kathleen Carlisle; and son, Troy Carlisle.
