James Ralph Lionberger

MINERAL WELLS – James Ralph Lionberger, 87, died Dec. 25, 2012, at Lakewell House in Mineral Wells.

Service is 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Garner Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Oran Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.

James was born June 6, 1925, in Thayer, Mo., the son of George Joseph and Grace B. McFann Lionberger. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War, India Burma Theatre. James was a longtime resident of the Whitt area.

James is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Lionberger, of Holbrook, Ariz; grandchildren, Heather Hernandez and husband, Juan, and Caleb Lionberger and wife, Emillie, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Obe Leon and Betty Lionberger, of Garner; sister-in-law, Marilyn Lionberger, of Garner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kim Lionberger; his parents; five brothers; and one sister.
