Robert Joseph Poznick

WEATHERFORD —

Robert Joseph Poznick, age 73, died in a local hospital, Saturday, June 21, 2014.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 13, 1941, to Robert Jerry Poznick and Joan Martin. He grew up in Michigan until 1980 when he moved his family to Texas. Bob had a creative and artistic soul. He learned to knit when he was five and how to quilt when he was 35. He enjoyed just about any type of artistic endeavor and usually jumped with both feet off the deep end when trying a new art form. Bob was a member of the Quilter’s Guild of Parker County and a member of the Granbury Knitting Guild.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and son, Nathan Robert Poznick.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen McElroy Poznick; daughters, Amanda Rosales and her husband, Rene, of Fort Worth, and Elizabeth Cobb and her husband, James, of Weatherford. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Smith and her husband, Darryl, of Otisville, Michigan. His three grandchildren were the light in his eyes; Izabella and Brenen Rosales and Robert Cobb. He is also survived by a niece, nephew and several cousins.

Memorial services will be held at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 29, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to WISD Education Foundation (1100 Longhorn Drive, Weatherford, TX 76086) or the Boy Scouts of America, Longhorn Council.
