WEATHERFORD — Imogene “Ima” Lafay Schrick, 84, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford, 76086.
Visitation: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Interment: Millsap, Texas.
Ima was born in Frederick, Okla. on July 27, 1929, the daughter of Tom and Lavita Willbanks. She was the loving wife of Paul Schrick. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Imogene was valedictorian of her high school graduating class and maintained that high intelligence throughout her life. She would listen to your problems and give you an unbiased answer whether you wanted to hear it or not. She was an overall mediator with the ability to keep you calm, or calm you down no matter what the situation may have been. She had many attributes from bookkeeping to retail sales, but her most outstanding talent was sharing her love with family and friends.
Survivors: son, Keith Schrick and wife, Dana; son, Gary Schrick and wife, Rhonda, all of Millsap; daughter, Paula Doze, of Frederick, Okla.; grandchildren, Jason Schrick and wife, Andrea, and Josh Schrick, all of Millsap, Carmen Barrington and husband, Stephen, of Fort Worth, Crystal Whitson and husband, Lance, of Frederick, Okla., and Chance Doze and wife, Kristen, of Lawton, Okla.; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, JoAnn Woods, Ernie Little and Betty Kiker; and many other beloved family members and friends.
