— ANNETTA – Edward D. Jackson, 80, died peacefully at his home on Feb. 14, 2014.

Memorial service is 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28, at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center, 1400 Texas Drive, Weatherford, 76086.

Ed was an award-winning architect, a partner in Jackson & Ayers in Fort Worth, and later retired from Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford. His projects include many notable structures in Fort Worth and Weatherford.

A longtime member of Grace First Presbyterian Church in Weatherford, he made his home in Annetta in Parker County.

Ed was a graduate of Amarillo High School and Rice University and was a tremendous natural athlete, Southwest Conference discus champion, competitive diver in high school and a round robin tennis player with a wicked serve.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; brother, Lawrence W. Jackson and wife, Joan; daughter, Betty Caveny and husband, Jim; daughter, Anne Mullins and husband, Marty; grandchildren, Holly Watson, Dana Jackson, Stewart Jackson, Jamie Watson and Nadia DeKoch; five great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members; and countless professional colleagues.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Doss Center.
